To the Noble Fredericton Sangha,

Cynde and I are looking forward to our annual visit with you in April. Since
we only come once a year, we hope to see as many of you as we can while we
are there.

There have been questions about what I might teach this year. I have thought
about it a lot, and have considered your feedback. I think what might be
most helpful now that I could offer would be to understand more clearly what
is called the "Two Truths" in the teachings on the bodhisattva path, The two
truths are the "relative truth," the truth of how things relate with each
other, and the "absolute truth," mind that is simply open and aware.

The cultivation of bodhichitta, or "awakened heart," to both truths is the
essence of the bodhisattva¹s practice. The relative bodhichitta practices
teach us the skillful means to bring space into situations, and the absolute
bodhichitta practice of prajnaparamita sees the ultimate nature of all
things.

These two bodhichittas further transform along the path into the two
wisdoms, the wisdom that sees correctly and the wisdom that sees completely.

Which in turn give birth to two lineages, the lineage of the Profound View,
and the lineage of the Vast Activity.

So there is a bit we could talk about!

I'm really just playing around here a little, please excuse me. But it is
true. We could begin simply by clarifying our understanding of the two
truths, and then see what develops from there. Such discussion would also be
helpful in understanding the practice of joining heaven and earth as it is
described in the Shambhala tradition.

Look forward to seeing you if you can come,

- Acharya Moh Hardin
